About 5 months ago, I went out and purchased my first Dolby Digital receiver and it sound fantastic. The JVC company did a great job by providing me with easy to read instructions and a high quality remote control. It works great for watching DVD's in Dolby Digital and upgrading your televisions sound capabilities. I have mine digitally hooked up to my TV, CD player, satellite dish, and DVD player. One of its best features is the Compulink feature. The Compulink feature starts all of the components at one time. For instance, if I were to turn on my CD player the receiver would automatically turn on and switch to CD options. This receiver satisfies all of my wants and needs but, some of my friends that have more expensive receivers say that the JVC is limited by having only optical ports. So the bottom line is, that if you don't have a lot of money and you want a quality receiver you may consider purchasing this item.
