AWESOME!!!!!
I purchased this unit because my old JVC receiver just quit working. I was in a way, upset my old receiver quit working but I was due for a new receiver with more features so my hunt began. I knew right away I wanted JVC, the price to feature ratio is much higher than other brands. I was actually... Read full review »
Incredible Sound for an Incredible Price!
I never bothered to look at these amps at Circuit City because they cost quite a bit more than I wanted to spend. I had initially intended to purchase the Yamaha YHT-300, but found the included 5540 amp to be lacking in features I needed. I had to up my price range a bit, and had intended to go for... I replaced my old JVC receiver with this receiver. I could not be more pleased. The setup, while lengthy, was reasonably clear. There are inputs for 2 VCRS, DVD, CD, tape player, record player, and more. Optical and coaxial inputs, S video--this receiver has it all as far as I am concerned.

decent receiver for the price
This receiver has been great. Have had it for over 2 years now.
I recently replaced my DVD player - spent some cash to get a good one. Unfortunately now, during loud scenes in movies, the receiver overloads and shuts off.
I'm a little disappointed with this, but would probably...
