Great value and sound.

Sound, styling, wireless, value
Cons
Heat vents on sides, manual
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Has all the bells and whistles most users could want. A good solid value and the wireless is a lot of fun.
As has been said in other reviews, If you have never set up a surround receiver before, get help. The manual needs some work. You also need to give the unit plenty of breathing room as it does get warm. Vents heat from the sides so it does not fit too well in standard stereo cabs. I'm running 4 Infinity towers and a center channel speaker - no sub.
Styling: The unit is very small height wise for a 7.1 X 110 watt unit. It should match very well with the slim displays and small surround speaker sets for those who worry about such things.
Video surround: Great-both from dvd and directv. Sound positioning was accurate and dialog was very natural. The unit has plenty of surround modes to play with.
Music: Good to very good: I think this rating could go up with more tinkering with all the eq and sound field options. The receiver will play plenty loud (I listen to rock & classic rock in a 16 X 23 foot room) and the power ratings seem about right. The wireless computer link was simple to set up and works very well. Spent hours streaming some old King Biscuit concerts from Wolfgangs Vault. The wireless USB connect is a very cool addition to a solid receiver.
