JVC, great bang for buck
Pros
HDMI "upconversion" smaller than analog receivers easy configuration
Cons
initially gives off a lot of heat
Recommended it?
Yes
Was initially shopping for Panasonic SA-XR55S as I figured the JVC 702 was out of my price range. I found this gem at a fry's for 199.95 (about half price) picked it up and have been grateful to come across it. It had 2 HDMI in's versus the Panny's one.
Correction to previous reviewer but I have two component connections in use (xbox360 and Tosh DVD player) and one HDMI (DirecTV Tivo HD) and have one more HDMI to select.
Configuration was a breeze if you have a basic understanding of HT setup. Sound quality is excellent but I only have 5.1 setup but it's getting the most of my JBL speaker set.
I reccomend this highly if you get it for under 300.00.
