As good as you could possibly get for this price.

Pros Stellar bass. Crisp sound, lots of power.
Cons Mid-to-high ranges can seem to be a bit harsh. No MP3, CD-R playback.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Buy this unless you're willing to pay more than $3000 for a home theater/DVD system. This system makes it happen.
I bought one of these online and I really couldn't be happier with it. I also mix techno music, and I like the sound so much that I have started to run my music through it as well. The bass is utterly phenomenal. Strong, clean and HEAVY.I live an apartment building that is constructed out of concrete. It claims to be soundproof. This system has relegated that claim to the realm of invalid theories. You can get loud. Real loud.
It does seem that some of the mid-range of certain high-volume can get to an almost piercing level, but it only runs about $1200. You can do better, but it will cost a lot more. It is not progressive-scan, but the cleanliness of the picture from any progressive-scan system I've seen has never been better than the picture I get out of the TH-A10. Frame-by-frame is perfect, the strobe effect is good to have if you want to watch a scene unfold frame-by-frame as a series of pictures (a series of always progressing 9 little windows), and it is always clean visually. No component input/output is a drawback, but it has 3 S-video inputs and lots of AV inputs. There are also 2 digital optical inputs. If you need more than this, you're just too fancy to be buying this product. Hook your PS2 up and you couldn't be more pleased with the A-10.
I recommend this system highly. It does anything you can ask for in a HTIB (home theater in a box) system. I'd call it the perfect starter system, but I'll probably buy one of these again if it gets to 6.1 Digital. I like it that much.
