Great for those with a large collection of CD's

I bought this JVC model over the Kenwood 200 disk model because of what Consumer Reports stated about both models...the JVC is faster, and offers an "exchange" function, where you can remove up to 25 disks (in one area) while a disk is playing.
The JVC player is great, we dont have a real large collection of CD's but I'd say we have over a hundred, and the thought of not ever having to swap out CD's ever again was VERY appealing. With a capacity of 200 CD's the JVC is a great storage shed for your CD's. When playing CD's you can exchange up to 25 of the CD's in the front trays without stopping playback.
If you have newer CD's with the "CD-TEXT" specification on them, the JVC CD player will recognize them and the CD title, Artist, and usually the Genre (pop, rock, ect) will be viewed. If you have older CD's and still want to have the information displayed, you can manually enter the CD title, artist, and genre. Although this is a tedious process for the older CDs, it really is nice to have. Another downfall for this function is that if you swap a CD from one position to another, you will have to reenter the data, unless of course it has "CD-Text"
I like to put the CD player on Random Play, and let it go for hours, just take this one note - if you do this, try not to put 5 Madonnas, or 4 Trisha Yearwoods together, as the radom feature seems to have a nack for doing them all together first :P
Otherwise it's a great CD player......like having your own personal Jukebox.
