Jamo E 805 Main / Stereo Speaker

I'm no audiophile! Got a new HD Sony 32" XBR and an Onkyo S674 AV receiver. Already had two great ADS floor speakers (hidden in cabinet), so wasn't interested in a home theater system (HTIB), nor a surround system of 5-7 speakers. Looked at Polk and Boston Acoustics for two rear and two surrounds. The BA bookshelfs were very good, and thought the Polks were maybe a little better. But, wasn't impressed with the aesthetics of either.

Bought my Onkyo from a local electronics store (better $ than CC or BB). While there, found a speaker I had not seen or heard -- JAMO. Made in Denmark and now owned by Klipsch. I was blown away by the bass, mid and high ranges of the E805s and the E825s! And, the separation and frequency response are remarkable. I couldn't handle the E825 price, so went with the E805s -- and I really couldn't justify the price/sound quality differential.

I was so impressed by the bookshelf speakers (two pair), I decided to add a center (E 7CEN) speaker, and, then, to replace an old Philips sub with Jamo's new SUB 250. The e805s and the e825s are part of Jamo's "Concert" series. The sound quality supports the claim in the name!

I would highly recommend the Jamo (pronounced Yahmo) audio components to anyone who enjoys superior sound -- and Jamo does have a 5 speaker surround system. I can't imagine a better speaker system setup for what I have invested -- unless of course I replaced my old ADS cabinet speakers with a set of Jamo towers (E855s or E875s.

You'll have to look for a dealer. The CCs and BBs don't carry Jamo. But, it's so worth the hunt.
