Jazz jellies, Good Pictures for Less! Great for Kids, Teens, Everyone!

Pros Good quality pictures for a low price. Many nice features. Comes with batteries and film.
Cons Not all of the bells and whistles you might find in a more expensive camera.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Great inexpensive gift, first camera, vacation camera or for general use for just about anyone. It is small enough to take with you anywhere, and versatile enough for many uses.
I found the Jazz Jellies 207 35mm Point and Shoot Camera being sold our local Walmart while shopping for inexpensive gifts to give to my children for Valentines Day last year. I decided on this particular camera for several reasons:

The Jazz Jellies Camera is an inexpensive camera, yet it takes a relatively good picture. I have actually gotten better results from this camera than from some of the digital cameras I have used in the past.

It comes fully equipped with 12 Exposure Kodak Film and AA Battery so you can get started taking pictures right away. This is a nice feature because I always forget to buy batteries when I buy gifts.

Because it is a "point-and-shoot" camera, it is simple enough for anyone to use. You just need to point it at your subject and press the button. It is as simple as that. Even my youngest children can take great pictures with this camera. This is a great first camera for younger children and teens, yet versatile enough for adults.

The Jazz Jellies Camera has a flash, unlike many other cameras in this price range. This is great because now the boys can take pictures indoors or outdoors, in any lighting conditions. To turn the flash on, just slide the lens cover open. In just seconds, you are ready to take your pictures. To turn the flash back off, just slide the cover back over the lens. It is very simple and even the kids and teens don't forget to turn the flash off. This is a great battery saver.

Since this camera is an inexpensive model, it does not come with all of the bells and whistles of some of the more expensive cameras, but one feature that surprised me was the panoramic setting included on a camera in this price range. In addition to the regular setting, you can also take panoramic photos. This is great when on vacation. I can have all of the kids line up and get a lot of background into the picture with them. With just a flip of the lever, I can take pictures in the panoramic view which is kind of like the wide screen view you get at a movie theater. You have to process the pictures as larger panoramic prints if you want them to look right though. I hadn't realized that my son took some of his pictures in this mode and I had them developed normally. The result was that both the top and bottom of his pictures were blacked out, and the wider picture was between the two blackened out areas.

Although I have heard the Jazz Jellies Cameras called toys, I feel that this camera is useful for adults as well. They may look like cheap toys on the outside, but they are really quite a useful product. After buying them for my children, I returned and bought one for myself as well. This is a wonderful inexpensive camera to take along on vacations, or just keep one in my purse for those times when I run across something I just have to have pictures of. You never know when you may come across that Kodak moment!
At a recent baby shower I attended, the hostess had placed one or two of these cameras on each table. Whenever a guest saw a picture worth taking, they just grabbed a camera and took some snapshots of the shower guests. After the shower, the films were all taken in for developing and an album was given to the guest of honor as a keepsake she could remember for years to come. This would also be a great idea for weddings, graduations, birthday parties, or any other special occasion that you might want to remember for eternity.

Our Jazz Jellies Cameras have been around for just over a year now, and still holding up well through any abuse my children and teens have put them through. They are tough enough to withstand being dropped on carpet, although I would not recommend this. My children and teens have dropped them several times and they were unharmed by this. They still take decent pictures.

I would recommend this camera as an inexpensive gift, a first camera, a vacation camera or just a great low cost camera for general use for just about anyone. It is small enough to take with you anywhere, and versatile enough for many uses.
