CD broke after 5 months

Inexpensive, great when it works

Cheaply made, CD broke in less than 6 months of normal use.

My husband received this as a Christmas gift in December 2005 and the CD player just suddenly stopped working last week (June 2006). It won't open and won't play, and customer service said there is only a 90 day warranty, so to send it back to be repaired would be a $35 service charge plus shipping. Also, when my husband tried to extricate the CD that was stuck, the front of the CD player broke off. We had been very happy with it until this happened, but I'm going to think twice about ever buying another Jensen!
