Absolutely Amazing!

Pros Direct entry of channels, block unwanted channels, easy to use while driving
Cons None
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Highly Recommended. Features and controls unavailable on any other satellite radio controller, display is easily visible. Awesome!!
I was initially skeptical of the Jensen SSR2000. After all, it's a Jensen, and it doesn't exactly look any other satellite radio controller.

Those thoughts disappeared immediately the first time I turned it on in my vehicle. Sound quality is unbelievable for a Jensen.

The display has 3 shades of blue, which look like a normal gray screen during the day. The blue really stands out and it's easily visible day or night.

You can directly enter the number of the channel you want to listen to, which is unmatched by any other receiver.

This has also been very handy while city driving. I no longer have to reach across to reach the actual stereo. I now have the Jensen controller (with the very long cord) right in my hand to change channels while safely driving. You can even let backseat drivers change channels easily.

Sound quality? Unbelievable. Jensen isn't exactly a high-performance stereo name, like Kenwood or Sony, but it really sounds like it's #1. I haven't noticed any artifacts and have noticed very little distortion.

How do I rate it? 9/10. Awesome, and highly recommended. Sirius Satellite Radio is the premier satellite radio - the way to go!

UPDATE:

I have the Jensen SSR2000 (and have had it since last August). I recently bought another one to put in the house. I haven't had any problems with this. The person who wrote the previous review obviously didn't read the owners manual.

1) You can adjust the display. There are 3 levels of brightness, and I have had NO problems viewing the song title. You just tap the power button to change brightness.

2) As for sound quality, mine is fine. It sounds like near CD quality. If you have it professionally installed by someone who knows what they're doing, the sound quality will be excellent.

3) Talk streams require lower bandwidth. A few months ago the talk streams sounded a little warbly but this has since been improved noticibly since February '03.

3) The Jensen DOES keep the channel you were listening to last in memory, if you install it CORRECTLY. There are 2 power wires, one for power, one for memory. The memory wire (yellow) needs to have a constant power source. If you don't do this, then you may not have the same channel you tuned to last.
