I own 2 KLH tuners, an R5000 5.1 in the living room and an R7000 6.1 in the bedroom and have had no problem with either of them. Both provide reliable sound (well, for an apartment dweller who's not trying to frighten the neighbors.)
I use them mostly for watching DVDs and playing video games, they aren't left on 24/7.
