I have to tell you that my original reason for buying this was to supplement my DJ business with live recording capability but I use it much more than that. This mini-disc recorder is perfect for school, personal notes while driving, and of course the music playback.
You can record over and over on the same mini-disc without worry of warping the disc. It's Bass control allows you to manipulate how heavy or light you like your bass in your music without changing the recording. The unit also comes with a wired remote which can be used with the unit or you don't need to use it at all. There are controls built in to the unit as well.
As for the recording aspects, you couldn't have asked for an easier tool. There is a sensitivity control for your recording which makes your playback perfect. Whether your in school, on the road a lot, or simply like to record anything live or prerecorded, the Kenwood DMC-J7R is the right tool for the job.
