NIce Deck FOR THE PRICE MP3 WMA SW Preout
Pros
Nice look, plays MP3s, SW preouts, built in EQ, remote
Cons
Non-motorized faceplate, seems cheap and flimsy when you push buttons.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Super features for the price. Just make sure you check one out in person. If you are spending $250 look elsewhere.
This is a low end attempt at a high end look. The deck has good sound, but power is over rated, 20W is max without distortion. Face is not motorized, you must manually flip it down and push a hidden button to access cds, then it detaches in a funny way. I am jaded from having Alpines, I guess. With the odd config. on the face, it tend to move when you hit the buttons, which has an odd feel to it. Controls are a little screwy too. It would take too long to explain it. If you are interested in this, go to a retail outlet and play with one. Make the salesman demo the flip and face detach. Looks nice and the price for these features can't be beat. I got this for close to half of retail at Etronics, so I will make it work for me. Retail is $300, I would NOT pay that much for this deck. Kenwood has some sweet decks for a few $$ more. If you are trying to stay around $200, I would say go for it. 3 pre outs, MP3, WMA, built in 3 band EQ, changeable illum. colors, a remote control and nice big knobs to control it make this a steal at the $200 mark.
