The Bottom Line:
You don't have to pay $400 for decent sound......
The Ford Premium sound system has fallen apart three times on me. The first two times I replaced it with another Ford product, since it was under warranty.
This last time I did some shopping, and decided that Kenwood was the way to go, I looked at all the models. The 416s has the electronics and specs of all the bigger brothers, but at a significantly lower price! $100 for a good sounding CD receiver? Yup.....
If you pair it with the right speakers...I put top line Sony up front and Pioneer in the rear.
We don't have many paved roads where I live, and the 416s has yet to skip!
It reads factory discs as well as CD-R and CD-RW with no problems.
