My changer broke after 3 months!
Pros
Cd's don't skip!!!
Cons
Product isn't durable enough.
Recommended it?
No
The Bottom Line:
Even though this changer just plain and simply put-- stopped working... I still love Kenwood's head units and am still a faithful customer. I guess it can't all be perfect!
Yep, you heard it right. I bought a Kenwood KDC-C717 brand new and 3 months later, it broke!
First let me tell you about what I experienced from the changer while it was STILL WORKING!---
No skipping. -- After a year of skipping (remixed) cds playing through my head unit, this was a real treat to me.
Easy to operate.
Same great sound quality.
---Now, let me begin the bad news by saying that my changer was never mounted. I have a 4 seater 98 Camaro and I put the changer in the middle of my back seats. It was pretty secure, but I bet all the bumps from driving turned something in this changer loose! I've never heard of anyone having this kind of a problem from not mounting a changer, but I never misused it in any way so thats the only reason I could think of for it to just STOP WORKING! Who knows, it may have been some kind of defect from the manufacturer...
Anyhoo - I'm on my way to newer and much better things....mainly speaking of a new Kenwood Mp3 head unit! (You'll have to keep up with my epinions to find out which one I got!) Stay tuned for that review!
