Great CD/MP3 Head Unit
Pros
A lot of useful features, GREAT sound.
Cons
The manual is not written well.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
I would DEFFINATLY get this unit again! One of the best head units I've owned over the years.
First, this head unit replaces a Sony CDX-MP40, and I'm happier with this one. From the ability to adjust to different speaker sizes to continuously scroll the ID3 tag of the MP3s on CD. This is one hell of a head unit for the price. With built in High AND Low pass filters, and the ability to control a sub's sound quality separate from the other speakers, it just can't be beat. The ONLY negative thing I can think of is the manual. Typical Kenwood manual, this is my tenth or eleventh Kenwood product. I've owned other head units and it seems to me that Sony has everyone beat as far as the manual goes. Kenwood offers the manual on-line at ftp://docs.kenwoodusa.com/manuals/OM-KDC-X569-2003-KUSA.pdf . If you need a head unit that reads MP3's and want a sub enclosure but don't want the head ache of having multiple amps, this is the one for you. I am VERY happy with this one. Got mine shipped 2nd day air from gopcplus.com for a grand total of $214.16 witch was $90.20 cheaper than what I could find it in town.
