The Bottom Line:
Avoid!!! Poor quality in all aspects, a typical Kenwood product. Stronger head units with comparable features exist for the same amount of money.
I purchased this unit to replace my stolen Sony Explode CD player. After the installation of my new deck, I experienced the following: Sound output is generally weak, unclean, and distorts easily at moderate to high volumes. Default/flat crossover frequencies are set too high, making it very dificult to achieve good speaker response. At low volumes, trebble and high midrange are usually the only audible sounds. The eject motor often lacks the power to eject self-labeled cds, leaving the user with no option but to pry it out with his/her fingers. I have seldom experienced non-functioning face-plate controls with the only fix being to take the face-plate off and put it back on again.
I loved the Sony I had and I can honestly say that this reciever doesn't even compare
