Another poorly-designed iPod controller unit
Pros
Sounds good.
Cons
Terrible controls design, poorly thought-out iPod integration.
Recommended it?
No
The Bottom Line:
I wouldn't buy again. Get a unit with an AUX input instead.
Looks OK, sounds good, but oh, those controls! The buttons that are impossible to read at night! The hard-to-fathom menus! (It has a calendar, but the clock settings control, while in the instructions, has got lost from the menus!
And let me count the petty annoyances when using with iPod... 1) When you remove the iPod, you always find the "song repeat" function ON and the "song shuffle" function OFF, however it was set when you plugged it in.2) You can't control the iPod menus when you have "RDM" set. 3) None of the track info display options allows you to see the name of the artist you are listening to. You can have a line with Album name AND Artist, but if the name of the album is of any length at all, you never see the name of the artist.4) No way to move forward or back within a song. 5) If you've just synched the iPod and then plug it in and turn the radio, it blasts out the first song on the iPod in alphabetical order. I don't want to begin every day with "ABC" by the Jackson 5 at max volume!
Just turning the thing on is a farce. You have to turn to three or four different pages in the manual to find out how to switch off the demo mode it is in when shipped.
