2 years, then Kaput!
Pros
Sirius Satellite integration, sound quality, folding face.
Cons
Cheesy display, flaky behavior, premature death. ;-(

I had a similar experience as MaryBethf. It was bad enough that every 3 or 4 months, the player would just crash - it was like rebooting a bad computer. Every time you hit the reset button, you lost all your presets, display preferences, and audio settings as well. It's no accident that the new units now allow you "back up" your settings - that's just a stop-gap solution to problem. It's very time consuming to re-establish all of that stuff.
Finally, one day the unit just died and would not come back - after only 2 years of use.
Kenwood generally has a good reputation, but after my experience with this one, I'm moving on. It's a shame, really, because when it was working, it worked well - CDs and satellite sounded GREAT, and the 4.5V pre-amp output was enough to give good sound.
