Kenwood Excelon KDC-X579 Car CD / MP3 Player

I bought my car used and it came with this deck already installed. It's a great deck but i have a couple problems with it. Every once in a while, not all the time, the display turns off when i push the buttons, like the faceplate is coming loose but it isn't...Also, the deck plays mp3 cd's but only the ones it feels like playing. I put some cd's in and it seems like the deck just freezes, i hear it spinning the cd and it says it's reading but it never gets around to playing, and when it does and you don't like the song, don't even think about hitting the forward button or you're stuck waiting again. Also, the remote is kinda big, that's no problem, the problem is that unless you're at a perfect 34.53636456 degree angle and there is no dust on anything and the deck feels like listening to the remote, you can't use the thing...The deck isn't all bad though, and those problems might be from the previous owner not treating it well...It has a vast array of menu options and a great EQ. The tuner sounds great and usually has a good signal. I had no book with the deck so i had to figure everything out myself, but Kenwood made that job easy. All the buttons are clearly labeled and it's overall easy to learn the controls in a short period of time. When everything is working fine, which is most of the time, everything sounds great. It's just those couple of times when having this deck can be frustrating.
