Do some research...display is notoriously flawed!

Although still working, my display has gone out and I can no longer see ANYTHING that's going on! A little research via Google revealed that there are tons of others out there with the exact same problem and no solutions to be found. Kenwood's not even offering a courtesy replacement for those of use that this happened to in a matter of days after the year waranty ran out.
I've always had Kenwood car stereos and have 100% pleased with their quality & functionality until now. I will probably go with another Kenwood but definitely not in the same line.
