Great power user product

Pros Clean, sounds great, every feature most will need.
Cons Not as flashy as some, semi-hard interface/menu to learn.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  If you're looking for a feature-rich deck and don't mind a learning curve, this is the deck for you.
My reason for buying a new deck was to get satellite radio functionality and get control over the sub-out level. I got both of those and much more.

While I would agree that this deck is pretty complex when you first get your hands on it, after a small learning curve, it's not very hard to adjust what you want to adjust quickly. For the novice user who may not understand what a crossover frequency is or why you would want to reverse the phase of your sub, this deck will be a little intimidating for a while. Once you learn it though, you'll love the control you have.

A great deck with great features.

My only gripes are with things that they chose to do differently than my previous MP3 deck. Namely, showing me track names and folder names while changing between tracks/folders. This deck shows you folder 1, folder 2, track 1, track 2, etc... until you stop, then it shows the names. My previous deck showed the names as you browsed so you could browse very easily by name. This only slows me down slightly though when browsing a new CD, so it's an acceptable loss when pinned up against all I gained.

I also would have liked if it would remember the sub level out for each source. The bass levels of CDs, local radio, and Sirius radio varies greatly. It's easy enough to adjust it each time I change sources, but it would have been nice not to have to.

Lastly, the illumination of the face is perfect, but the preset buttons (when green) are too dark. I find myself counting buttons because I can't read which one is 4 or 5. When you leave them red they are bright enough, but I think the green looks a little more smooth.
