The Bottom Line:
Best one out for a DIN unit. Period.
This thing is sweet. The best player out, hands down. 5v preouts. I wanted my entire Mp3 collection in my car, so I bought an external hard drive and a 120v power inverter to power it, and connected it to the USB on this deck. Reads it perfect. I have over 3000 albums in my car now. Finally I can say, "NO MORE MESSING WITH CDs". The features of this are nice. It lets you customize the color display any way you want. I like the 3 lines of text, you can choose what each line displays. The file navigation is cool. You can search through folders and files while the current song still plays. You can even jump ahead/back by 10 files at a time. When navigating files/folders on a CD or USB device, you can go up a level, down a level, thru the folder heirarchy. You can also jump to a "letter" by using the full keypad on the remote. Switching between files from the USB is so fast, you don't even have your finger off the button and it's already playing the next track. Order from Crutchfield and use coupon code "PA440" (depending if it hasn't expired when you are reading this) It will get you $50 off of $250.
PROS: Angled Face, crisp color display, 5v preouts, USB port!!, file navigation is the best yet for a DIN unit, VERY CLEAR SIGNAL. I'm hooking into professional grade ORION and Precision Power amps with Infinity Kappa Perfect Subs and 2 sets of kappa perfect components (6.5" and 5.25"). The clarity is amazing..
It remembers and starts at the exact location in the last song played, even on the USB drive.
CONS: Pretty much nothing... Takes a little bit on startup to "read" through all the files when connecting a big full hard drive to the USB port. But, it's just as fast as windows can do it.
