Excellent for skeptics

Pros Extreme value, versatile
Cons Poor instructions
Recommended it? Yes
I purchased Kenwood's 203, because I was unsure about how much I wanted to commit to the Minidisc technology. For what I paid for this ($240), I would say I got much more than my money's worth. It is a little complicated to use at first, and the instructions seem to be a direct literal translation from Japanese. Other than that, I am quite pleased with this product. It has a nice look to it, and the remote is fully functional. Best of all is the coaxial ~and~ optical digital inputs and outputs along with the analog. It seems that most lower end Minidisc decks choose one or the other and often add a second of the same type of input before supplying both kinds. I am extremely happy with this product and recommend it to anyone who would like to get into Minidiscs but does not want to make a large investment in a rather unpopular format.
