Learn from my mistake!

Pros Loads of features that other brands make you pay extra for.
Cons TV reception isn't too great. Also no navigation included.
Recommended it? No
The Bottom Line:  Best all around deal with the most features for the money. But before you buy first ask yourself if you really need it.
First off, I have nothing against the P-907. After months of researching and pricing out other brands the Kenwood was head and shoulders above the rest. The Kenwood P-907 offers many of the features that Pioneer and Alpine do, like TV Tuner, AV inputs/outputs, single din slide out screen, built in cd as well as features that that they don't like a touch screen GUI. Let's talk about that last feature, the touch screen. I have found this to be an essential feature when dealing with mobile video. It gets very frustrating when you have to find corresponding keys for display functions or use a remote with the other brands. The Kenwood's touch screen makes using it intuitive and easy.
The TV Tuner is another bonus with the Kenwood. While you have to purchase separate units (costing hundreds of dollars) with Alpine and Pioneer to ad this feature, the Kenwood comes with it to start with. The reception isn't that great but then again I had my antennas mounted discretely on my side windows so they wouldn't be seen (it's better to mount one set on the front window and one one the back). I can get every channel except 2&4, which is CBS and NBC for me. However, considering the fact that I didn't have to pay extra for this, I'm willing to accept the loss.
Finally, there's no navigation unit included. To add it on will cost about as much as the whole system itself! So if you're looking for navigation, factor in another two grand or so.
Here's the part where I tell you why I think I made a mistake. Basically, I hardly use the darn thing. Yes, it's cool and is the best value for mobile video on the market, but that doesn't matter if all it ever does is play cds in your car. Don't get me wrong, when I have used it to watch those final minutes in the game or to play PS2 games on the long trip to Vegas, I've greatly appreciated it. However, those times seem too infrequent to justify the cost. If I had to do it over again I would have just gotten a really nice headunit and spent the money on other things. It's up to you though. I spend alot of time in the car but most of it is by myself. I'm sure if I drove with another person it would be used much more. So before you plop down nearly two grand for this really be honest with yourself and ask if you'll really use it enough to justify the cost. You might even try renting it for a month to check. The choice is yours. Good luck and good music!
