Cons

Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Buy this if you're looking for a lifestyle system to suit your room/office. It will leave you breathless with its performance and I'm sure you won't regret it.
I've used this system for 1 year now. I've got rid of the speakers(I sold it to one of my friends) and changed them to JMLab Chorus 705( a very good bookshelf speakers with its unique inverted titanium tweeter ) that I put on a heavy duty speaker stand. I threw away the cheap speaker cables and used Ecosse CS2.5 award winning speaker cables. Then it hit me. The sound improved tremendously. Detail and open sound. No more strained or compressed sound like before. Each notes hit you like never before. Believe me. Invest more if you wanted to bring out the best out of your system. If not you'll be missing the true meaning of music.
Since that there is no looking back for me. I connect my turntable(Thoren TD166 ) through my phonostage( Rotel RQ-970BX) using Tara Lab Prism 100i analogue interconnects.
It still amazed me until today. Superb!!!
It also feature HDCD decoder( only available in more expensive CD player ). A very useful feature especially if you have a collection of CDs with HDCD label. Sounds better
(not as the same level as SACD ) but I'm not complaining.
Under the hood it provided good amplification( class A for low volume and class AB for high volume )with bass and treble management. Apart from this you get the usual features ( timer, sleep etc ). Enough to play around.
Of course you can't compare to separates but with the prize, the sound and the stylish ultra cool shape(you can arrange it either vertical or horizontal) it worth all the money in the world. Trust me. Your friends will go ga-ga over this system. Mine does.
Buy it. Excellent product.
P.S. Look out its unique CD tray!!!
