Kicker VC12 12" Car Subwoofer

My friend recently purchased this set from a local dealer to run out of his 98 Acura Integra powered by a Kenwood KAC-7201 bridged at 4 ohm mono.

First off, this sub is on a tiny 150 watts rms. The amp my friend is running is 460 watts rms bridged at 4 ohms and therefore the amp needed a major power cut.

At only 150 rms watts this sub boomed. Not a wake up the neighborhood boom but a nice tone that would sooth anyones bass craving. It outperformed all my expectations for a base line subwoofer.

It was not all sound either that won me over. The looks were awesome as well. The kicker logo actually embossed in the box and the iron grill that came with the set made up for some very impressive eye candy.

The only real thing that I wasn't pleased with was the size of the enclosure. I thought it was rather bulky in size but it was built to factory specs by kicker according to the dealer.

All in all this is a great set to buy if you are on a budget. If you want to wake the neighborhood then this is not for you. If you want a nice back massage and some killer looks in your trunk then this subwoofer set is for you.
