The Bottom Line: Klipsch speakers have the most bang for the buck of any speaker I have heard, because they are one of the most efficient speakers and the sound is great!

This speaker has great sound range at 92Hz-20kHz frequency response for a satellite speaker, and is very efficient at 94 dB. I can hear so much more rear effects with my Yamaha V650 6.1 receiver since adding this speaker as a rear center channel. The difference is really amazing. I chose the RCX-4 over getting a match to my front center channel Klipsch RC-25 (also reviewed) because it has a built in mounting stand. It allowed me to hang it on the wall without needing a shelf. The RC-25 sounds slightly better than the RCX-4, but it was easy to make the sound trade off to get the easier mounting which the RCX-4 has. They have a great hi-tech look about them, so if looks and small profile matter as much or more than the sound, then THESE are the speakers for you. If sound is more important than looks and mounting options, then I would recommennd the Klipsch RC-25s over these, because the sound is slightly fuller for about the same money.

The RCX-4 sounds very good and it provides a lot more rear bass when compared to most satellite speakers I listened to, but it fell a little short on bass (when compared to the RC-25). The highs are very clear and natural and the midrange is not overstated. If you like speakers that sound full with great imaging Klipsch speakers are worth investigating. I think that Klipsch speakers provide more "bang for the buck" than any speaker on the market. All Klipsch speakers come with a 5yr warranty if bought from an authorized dealer.
