Great camera, people need to get realistic
Pros
Quality of lens
Ease of use
Size
Picture quality
Cons
lack of super macro
Recommended it?
Yes
Camera takes quality pictures, I bought mine for $60 bucks used like new, and they can be found for $80 refurbished.
Can't match that price for the pictures if makes.
I hear a bunch of people crying about batteries, well it was DESIGNED for lithium rechargables. 3.7 volts. Buy them.
I don't hear the complaining because Sony has their own memory sticks... if something is designed for a certain battery and you use alkaline, well that is the users fault.
Alkalines should only be used for emergencies!
It needs the 3.7 Volt lithium, and the higher the rating the better.
Get a 2200amp sized, generic rechargable with a charger for $15 for two batteries and a car charger.
No more battery issues, it will take hundreds of pictures before a recharge. Amazing what happens when you spend $15 bucks and use the right batteries.
Then you have a great general purpose camera that works great in low light and many other settings.
Set it and forget it, it's a top quality point and shoot.
No, Kodak doesn't do Macro close ups well. That is the only negative. So unless you are taking pictures of dime sized objects this camera cant be beat for under $100.
