A phone for everyone...

LG keeps getting better and better!
Having previously owned the very nice, but quirky Touchpoint 1100 by LG Electronics, I jumped at the chance to get it's newer replacement. I bought this phone the first week it was introduced. I wasn't disappointed. First lets talk form factor.

An Anathema to Sprint Users

OK basic (VERY basic) phone, but with problems
I got my 1010 in early 2003, as the default (free) phone with my service, which uses the Sprint PCS network. It is a very basic phone, even by the standards of two years ago, let alone today:
- Only supports PCS (CDMA), not other modulations or analog
- Only a small, basic monocrhome...

OK if you're always near towers, but don't bother with this one...
I received mine for free ($100 off) with my Sprint PCS Free & Clear plan. When I purchased my plan, my intent was to use the cell as a replacement for my land line, so I didn't care about imaging features, or many of the extra doodads on todays cells, I just wanted a phone that worked.
