LG 23LX1RV TV/DVD Combo

I love this tv, I really do. When I play DVDs on it I can actually see the mpeg compression. Looks amazing with an HDTV signal. But it's the only HDTV or LCD that I've ever owned. What I do have lots of experience and expertise with is audio, and I have a problem. The alternate audio output from the built-in dvd player is delayed by approximately 100milliseconds. Doesn't sound bad to most people until they hear it and it looks like they're watching a badly dubbed kung-fu flick. I can tolerate this but I can't listen to the built-in speakers at the same time with my stereo which is using the alternate audio output. With both audio channels playing simultaneously it sounds like a PA system at a baseball game. It's all echo.
