LG = Lemon Generator?
Pros
I finally found a company with stock that I can short with confidence.
Cons
No customer service. None. Zero. Oh, and a tv with a 29 day lifespan.
Recommended it?
No
The Bottom Line:
Avoid this company. Avoid its products. Don't even consider this TV.
My wife and I did quite a bit of looking around and talking to sales people before picking out this tv. Once I got it home setup was a snap and the picture looked great with our HD dish setup.
Then, 29 days later, all H-E-double hockey sticks broke loose.
Menus started popping up at random on the screen, the remote couldn't be recognized by the tv, etc. It was terrible.
We called LG for service. They took our name and number as they said they were too busy to assist us at the moment - but assured us that they would call us back within 48 hours. That was over 1000 hours ago. Subsequent calls are answered by a machine that just says, in essence, "we're swamped by calls by people who bought our junk - and now we're trying to scramble to catch up with the mess we created by overadvertising and selling a ton of this . . . well, junk. Thank you, CLICK!"
In the end I called Best Buy who sent a tech out and who will be replacing the bad motherboard in this lemon.
AVOID THIS PRODUCT. In fact, I would suggest avoiding LG entirely in light of their lack of customer service.
UPDATE: Best Buy tech opened TV and replaced innards. It works again . . . for now. Not exactly confident about this device. It makes clicking noises and several screws from the frame have been found on the floor beneath it.
