Pros Nice picture, great look!
Cons Only 1 HDMI input, poor scrolling through the inputs.

Pros large picture is easy to see
Cons tv broke in the first year, customer service is incredibly POOR
Recommended it? No

The TV is not really exceptional, the picture is large and nice if you are just getting into a large screen, but when I go out to bars and see what else is out there, I am not impressed with the LG picture quality when I get home.

Pros 42" plasma at affordable price. Great Picture. 2 yr. warranty.
Cons 1 HDMI input. Nothing else.
Recommended it? Yes

I did my research first. I knew that I needed about a 42" screen for the distance the family would be sitting from the TV. Pros good picture quality and sound when it was working.
Cons reliability, cheap defective boards that go bad causing no picture, but sound stays

Purchased this LG 42 inch plasma in oct 2006 and it has been a good tv until last night. Picture went out but sound continued.  Looks like LG knows they have a defective product as I am seeing quite a few posts about same problem.  Paid about $1400.  Now can buy 720 resolution... Pros Easy to use (when working).
Cons TV broke after 2 yrs 5 months.  Terrible customer service.  Two year warranty only.
Recommended it? No

Purchased the LG 42 inch plasma tv 42PC3D in August 2006.  Watching tv on New Year's Eve 2008 and all of a sudden heard a loud "pop" noise and no longer had a picture, just sound.  Called LG customer service and was told there was nothing they could do for me since my warranty expired in August...
