I purchased this TV just before Christmas in 2006. I did some research first and decided on a plasma TV over a LCD. I then decided on a size of 42" and then shopped prices on the internet to see how much it would cost me. I was now ready to see some of these TV's in person! I visited BestBuy and Circuit City to compare the picture quality of various TV's. They were all very good, but the LG was slightly better. The clincher on my buying decision was the 2 year warranty! (All of the other TV's only had warranties of 1 year) Once I got it home it was easy to install on top of my oak TV stand in the corner of my family room. The HD picture quality is excellent and my standard cable channels look very good too!
