Awesome TV for the Price
Pros
No glare screen. Many picture setting options. Amazing clarity. Good looking TV even when off.
Cons
No internet connection but I probably would not use it anyway.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
I would highly recommend considering this TV or at least go check one out.
I have had this TV for 2 weeks now and still extremely impressed with the picture quality. BLU-RAY movies play extremely clear and vibrant. Even non-Blu-Ray upscaling playback is pretty amazing. Dish network 1080I HD is brilliant, vibrant, and impressive. Sound quality is very good. The digital output is awesome so I can play any input through my surround sound and the sound quality through the digital connection is amazing! Picture clarity is just amazing. Even my wife who normally is not impressed with HDTV said the picture is incredible. The best feature in my opinion is all the picture preset options and the custom options. The THX setting is good for most movies and HD viewing but I like the Expert Settings where you can customize the picture to your personal taste (if you are into that kind of thing). There are two Expert settings you can customize and save so I found that a very nice feature to have so you can store a setting for games and a seperate one for movies or whatever (etc.). I had an Hitachi 42" 720P Plasma before buying this LG and wow the differences are totally amazing. I went to the store with the intention of buying a LED or LCD TV but after the sales person showed me the LG Plasma line and explained the 600MHz Tru-Motion and major improvements LG has made in their plasma line I was sold. A comparable LED was almost double the price I paid for the LG and the LCD 240MHz Tru-Motion limitation plus comparing picture quality (over and over again) I just had to go with the LG 50PS60! Dont ever let anyone try to tell you that 720P HDTV which can display up to 1080i is just as good as a true 1080P HDTV because there is just no comparision!!!! I am still happy I purchased this TV. In my opinion considering price you just can not do better. (I paid just over $1000.00 for mine on sale).
