Great phone, music player and more
Pros
Very good music phone. It has good voice quality and good signal strength.

Great music phone. Allows you to ditch a dedicated mp3 player because it has it all built in with a nice interface and even an FM transmitter
The LG Chocolate 3 VX-8560 phone works just great as a phone, voice quality is just fine. The voice command doesn't "name dial" at all. My prior phone Motorola Razor V3m worked just fine for this feature. The 4 navigation buttons can be programmed which seems to be a common Verizon feature. This phone is a flip phone unlike it's predacessors. It fits nicely in the hand and easy to hold while talking.
This phone is all about music and it performs quite well in this arena. The scroll wheel works fine and very similar to an ipod. I like that the external keys lock after a few seconds (except for the volume button). It's nice to have a standard 3.5mm jack which works with standard headphones and aux. patch cables. One feature which comes in really handy is the FM transmitter.
It is a snap to put together a play list however editing it is clumsy. For playlists created in the phone you can not change the order of the songs on the list. I haven't tried it but the manual says that play lists created on a computer will retain the order of the playlist but then can not be edited one the phone. When transmitting FM the battery drains very quickly so it is almost necessary to have it plugged in if you plan on transmitting for any length of time.
