Not Just a Pretty Face.

Pros internal display. A good solid performer.
Cons Receive audio (ear speaker) quality could be better.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  An attractive, good performer which is both easy to use and convenient to carry.
The LG DM510 is a single mode 800Mhz CDMA phone in the clam shell style. The phone has:

caller ID
vibrate
multiple ring type/tone
197 location memory
event organiser
T9 predictive text input
Mini browser

The phone has performed well during the week since I bought it with no real problems. I found the quality of the receive audio was not as good as other phones I've used although I never had any difficulty hearing the party I was speaking with. The phone has a number of good points. firstly the DM510 has an external LCD display which shows signal strength, time and date, and battery level. The external display also shows the caller ID. Secondly, the phone has a very large, east-to-read internal display. Another good feature is the large buttons which make using the phone one-handed very easy. I found the phones menu structure easy to follow and found myself only referring to the owners manual on a couple of occasions.

The phone doesn't have the number of features as say, an Ericsson T39 but it does have all the features most users require for the day-to-day use.

I haven't had the chance to try the data capabilities yet but they seem straight forward judging by the owners manual. I found the standard battery lasted well when the phone was is a good signal area, but went flat very quickly when in a marginal area. Enabling the "Power Save' mode prevents the phone continually searching for signal in poor signal areas.
