A great HD tuner and DVD player
I recently bought a Philips 30PW8420 HD-ready widescreen TV. HD-ready means it has no internal HD tuner. So, to get the most out of this TV I needed what's commonly called an STB, or set-top box. The LG LST-3510A filled the bill.

Convenient single DVI-D output for both sources. HDTV and upscaled DVD work great.
This is my 3rd HDTV box and my 3rd upscaling DVD player. In terms of HDTV from over-the-air stations, it is very sensitive--even my basement antenna receives the majority of local stations. Nice tuner/DVD combo with limitations and quirks
This is a combination HDTV tuner and a DVD player that can show conventional DVD output in HD (720p or 1080i) via up-conversion. Best yet ! Upscaling DVD is awesome also.
I've tried most of the HDTV set top boxes (Voom,Samsung, USDTV (Hisense)and Accurian). This LG is by far, the best of them all ! I am blown away with the sensitivity of the tuner. LG-3510A Very nice but ...
It's a real nice box. I have been using it since almost one year. It was 100 bucks more than current market price, but it seems to be paid of looking at the experience.
But I think it is time that it needs a Good Firmware Upgrade for its DVD drive and also a well-designed remote controller...
