The Bottom Line:
Inexpensive basic phone that doesn't feel cheap
I've had Virgin Mobile as a cell phone carrier since 2004 and this has been the best phone I've bought from them. Overall, the phone doesn't have a cheap feel to it the way my previous phones have had. Also, the clam shell design prevented me from scratching the screen or having to unlock/lock the phone so it wouldn't dial in my pocket. Texting was also surpisingly easy, considering it's not a QUERTY keyboard. One really nice feature that I really miss on other phones is the red blinking light that alerted me if I had a missed call or text/voice message. It seemed simple but it was always easy for me to know if I had a message. This was great at work, if I stepped away from the phone or any time I put the phone on silent. The one downfall is that there is no camera on this phone, but I never used it on my pervious phone and I didn't miss it.
As for the Virgin Mobile service, I've never had a problem with them and I've been surprised at how well their customer service has treated me over the years. (This compared to the horrendous customer service from Metro PCS, which I've also had on and off.) The prices have been fair considering the services I got.
Overall, if you want an inexpensive, but not cheap phone from Virgin Mobile this is just right.
