LG RC897T DVD Recorder / VCR Combo

This product is a piece of crap. I had never bought an LG product before this and will NEVER purchase one again. I bought this DVD/VCR recorder combo after I bought a new HD TV. The "experts" at Best Buy recommended it. It gave me problems from the very begining. It would only record 15 minutes of some TV shows and then give the copyright protected message when I tried to record on a DVD. Many times when it did record a show, it would not playback giving a ''no disc" message when the disc was inside the player. Even playing movies was a problem. If you stopped the disc even for 30 seconds, the movie sound would skip. It seemed like the disc got extremely hot and wouldn't work properly. Then the DVD player refused to work and wouldn't even open. I continued to be able to record shows on the VCR but now that doesn't work either. I paid almost $300 for this peice of garbage at Best Buy and feel like I was cheated. I've only had it about a year.
