This is the 3rd LG DVD Recorder I've owned and they have all turned out to be junk. I guess I keep buying LG since I like some of their other products, but this will defentley be the last home audio piece I will by from LG.
All three seemed to work great for about 3 to 6 months, then watch out. After a while the units will not recoginize the disks either by displaying that there is no disk in the unit or it will take several minutes trying to read the disk and then the door will open. The first couple of units this happened to I thought might have something to do with dirty rental DVD's, but then I put the same DVD's into a WallMart $30 dollar unit and they worked fine. I would defentley think twice before buying any LG home audio equipment (including their TV's).
