Good phone for the money.

Pros Nice, easy-to-use features, including speaker phone and voice recognition.
Cons Menus could be more intuitive. Too few characters allowed for names in phone book.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Good, durable, reliable phone with nice features. Needs to be more user friendly in some areas though.
At first it didn't appear easy to use, but then I was used to using another make of phone. Although the controls are not as intuitive as I'd expect, it turned out to be a matter of just getting used to them.

I worked in residential construction for a while. This phone took a lot of abuse with bumps, sawdust, heat, cold, been dropped a few times, and I never had a problem with it. I still have it because it continues to work well. Some of the lettering is starting to wear off, but the phone works fine.

I'm not sure why other people were having a problem with the voice recognition. It requires one quick button press, the phone will do a voice prompt, then you speak. I have NEVER had it malfunction.

Speed dial is good too - if you can remember who is on what speed-dial number.

Speaker-phone feature very good and easy to use. Good clarity, good volume, and good pick-up. I have used it on numerous occasions and have not had a problem. It does come at a cost though - greater battery drain (which is expected), so you may want to limit your speaker-phone use. One quick button press turns it on/off.

Same ease of use with the volume. Wait until you have a call placed, then you can use the left and right sides of the middle button to adjust the volume.

Charging the phone is pretty quick, using either the home charger, or the car charger. The phone WILL tell you when it is charged, and the state of the charge. I don't know what the other reviewers were griping about.

Appears to have good range and coverage. I live in the Seattle area and have had excellent coverage / reception from within the city, right up into the remote foothills of the mountains. Much better than brand X that my wife uses.

Entering text messages can be a bit laborious, although there is a feature to help with word completion. Changing these input modes takes more steps than I care to when in a hurry, and there are no canned statements.

The menu system is a bit confusing at times, even after having had the phone a couple of years. Recalling my cell's phone number is not an intuitive process.

I wish they provided more character space for names in the phone book. I found this to be true of other phones too though.

New phone book entries allow you to specify a specific numeric location in the phone book, which I like to do. However, there is no easy way (during this process) to see what entries currently exist. It is a hit-or-miss situation. The phone will tell you that the number you specified is already in use, and if you want to overwrite it, but it won't help you in the process beyond this warning message.
