The Bottom Line:
It's a great basic phone for most people
I got this phone last week and so far, it is working great. I needed a new phone since my Audiovox CDM-8300 was eating batteries really quick, and it just really wasn't working well. Last week I got tired of having the battery die, and putting up with bad reception, I saw the LG VX-2000. As soon as I saw it I knew it was a good phone for me.
First, the design of this phone is pretty slim. It easily fits in your pocket. All the buttons are easy to use and in a good spot. It has a nice green backlit display and the numbers light up too. You can also change the faceplates, but the one it comes with is very nice.
The sound on this phone is extremely clear. I have mine on a high volume, and even in loud places, the phone is easy to hear and it does not sound muffled. This phone also comes with a speaker phone which comes in handy when 2 people want to talk to someone at once. The quality of the speaker phone is also very clear.
The features are also very nice. This phone has a scheduler, calculator, 2 games, web browser, voice dialing, text messaging, and many more features. The 2 games that are included with this phone are nice to play when you are bored. One is a game where you fly an helicopter and blow up the enemies that ar flying planes and shoot at you in tanks. And the other one is black jack. you get to save your high scores in the air plane game, and you save your high score (money) in Black Jack. The are also alot of ringtones you can choose from. They all sound great, there are a few regular rings and the rest are songs. All the rings sound great. You can adjust the volume on your rings. And they also get very loud. I keep mine up really loud. I think it kind of scares people since it is so loud, but at least I can hear it very well in loud places. It also has vibrate mode so in meetings, movie theathers, and other places where you are not suppose to have your cell phones on in, you can still not miss a call.
I think this phone is great for anyone who wants a basic phone, but also has important features like voice messaging and text messaging, and stuff that isn't exactly basic. I love this phone, the signal is also great, so you don't really have to worry about that problem.
