The enV Touch

Pros Wide variety of capabilities
Cons Some minor glitches
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:

I say for kids get it, you will like it.  Now for adults, find someone else with it and try it out carefully, you could regret getting it.

Before you read this review: I'm just saying my last review was rated not helpful so please, read this review and rate it honestly, but make sure to read other reviews along with mine to make the correct decision.

So, getting down to business.. the enV Touch.  I've had this phone for about 4 months and so far I'm pretty impressed.  I'm not a phone genius so I guess that makes me more like the average person, with phones.

KIDS AND ADULTS.
This phone has a lot of capabilities, which could be good or bad.  I've noticed that with young kids, this phone tends to be more popular, seeing as they like the many options that this phone has to come with it.  They like the phone because it basically takes most other phones from the past and present, and combines their capabilities to give kids a lot of choices.  Now, with older people, this phone isn't as exciting as the commercials make it out to be.  Although kids primarily use texting to communicate with their friends, adults more commonly find calling more effective.  I've noticed that talking on the enV Touch could be a pain to some as the voice quality is not great.  It is also very loud, which can make your once personal conversations impersonal.  Also, on my phone, the vibrate does not always work.  Even though calling problems seem like a minor problem to most kids, many adults would find this problem too big of a hassle to let go, keep that in mind.

THE TOUCH SCREEN.
Touch screens are a newer capability in phones that make people want to buy a phone as it seems to help make navigating through the phone easier and more fun.  When first trying out the phone, most people are enthralled by the touch screen and instantly want a phone with that function.  Although touch screens appear to be all fun, after about the first several weeks of using the touch screen, not only does it get boring, but some people find it a nuisance to use.  Many people end up using the directional keys instead of the touch screen after a while.  That is a pro for the enV Touch because it has a external touch screen and an internal non-touch navigation system.  Also, note that the enV Touch's touch screen is good for customizing your phone for quick shortcuts like a tip calculator or that classic tetris game.

TEXTING.
The enV Touch is, to me, a great phone for texting.  The in-box can hold around 200 messages without having to delete them and sending multimedia messages is very simply.  There are four ways to text: Write with a touch screen pen (doesn't work great but it's fun), there are 2 touch screen keypads, and of course you can flip open the phone for a great QWERTY.  The buttons on the inside keypad are barely pushed out so it is easy to slide from one button to another, great for fast texting.  Personally, I think that the touch screen keypads are hard to use and make me mess up words I try to type.

OVERALL.
To sum it up, this phone is a great one with many functions (some that I am still figuring out).  Finding some things on this phone is easy while finding other things can be rather difficult, I would know =/.  If I were to give a percentage for the phone, probably a 90%.  On a scale from 1-10, 1 being the worst, and 5 being the average phone, I would give this phone an 8.5 to a 9.  I hope you found this review helpful, leave comments please (:
