If you need email, go elsewhere, otherwise this is perfect for small businesses to keep lots of clients straight. Also makes a great phone for those who want all features.
I had the LG 9800, the predecessor to this model. I adored that phone, right up until I lost it somewhere between the departure gate in Reno and security in LAX. Never going to get THAT back.
It was a year old and 9800 model was no longer available at Verizon so I got the 9900. There were a few functions I actually liked better on the 9800, so it took a bit to get used to the 9900. Once I got over the switch, I came to love this one as much as the other.
It's not just for text-ers. It's a heck of a lot easier to input phone book information on a QWERTY (typewriter- keyboard style) pad than on alphanumeric phone buttons, which makes it an excellent tool for business.
I was afraid it would be fragile, but it turned out to be quite sturdy. It's big enough to cradle on your shoulder if necessary, but not clunky and it's still quite sleek. The speakerphone works automatically when it's opened (if turned on!) and it sits up nicely for the purpose. For long calls on hold, it's a lifesaver. Has great sound too, my husband was quite surprised at it's quality (and a bit jealous too, his more expensive phone sounds tinny on speaker).
Two great screens give you everything you need. The outer screen is great for phone uses. I've surfed the web on the large inside screen, for info. and always found what I needed.
Storage won't be enough, buy a 2 GB MicroSD card. Camera is very convenient to use & gives pretty good pictures.
