TEXTING MADE SIMPLE WITH THE LG enV3 VX9200 !

Pros Simple to use, organized, comes with many added features
Cons Flimsy port covers
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  This phone is perfect for texters.  Easy to use.  Many added features.
My lifestyle only requires the most basic of cell phones.  However, when your life is intertwined with that of a teenaged daughter, the plan changes drastically.  Text messaging is, I am sure most people are aware, somewhat of a way of life for teenagers nowadays.  When I call my daughter, I invariably get a text message back from her asking what I am calling for.  “Well, if you would answer the phone, you would already know!”  “Gotta save my minutes, mom, texting is free,” she’d reply.  So I succumbed to the madness and instead of getting frustrated using my basic phone, I invested in the LG enV3 VX9200 to make my life a little easier.  Must say I have been pleasantly surprised with my upgrade.

4.11" (H) x 2.13" (W) x 0.65" (D) and weighs 3.77 ounces. Powered by a 950 mAh battery, the LG enV3 VX9200 provides 5.45 hours of talk time with 460 hours of standby.

The Phone:

This phone comes in a sleek casing with larger number keys for easy dialing.  The outer LCD measures about 1” by 2” and features time and date when idle.   The interior LCD measures about 2” by 2” and boasts crisp, clear images.  The enV3 features stereo Bluetooth compatibility, a music player and support for V- CAST Music. The 3.0 megapixel camera easily delivers crisp, clear images and videos which can be previewed on the display.

I have not taken advantage of the VZ navigator although I may at some point.  It’s definitely an added feature that some people might find a necessity.  Bluetooth, well, I hate earphones and I don’t use that feature either.  I have downloaded ringtones and ringback tones easily but that is all I use the internet access for.

I bought this phone mainly for its texting capabilities and I was not disappointed.  It’s spacious QWERTY keyboard is designed for quick messaging and also has capabilities such as auto-complete and instant reply. The set-up is like e-mail with an added subject line.  I didn’t realize this at first and found I was sending blank messages as I was only using the subject line.  However, I quickly caught on and find this set-up much simpler than most.  The fact that it sorts messages by person or particular text makes it an organized experience being able to look at whole conversations at once instead of having to go to each individual message.

I am also finding that the battery life is superior to any previous cell phones I have owned.  I charge it about every three days for about 2 hours and I do use the phone regularly throughout the day.

Probably the only thing I don’t like about this phone is the flimsy cover to the battery charger port.  It just sort of flips off and hangs by a tiny piece of plastic and if not handled delicately, it could easily break off.

Conclusion:

I am so pleased with my purchase of the LG enV3 VX9200.  On renewal of my account with Verizon, I only paid an extra $45.00 for this upgrade.  I have had so much fun with it and it has made the constant texting in my life quite enjoyable and simple.  The many extra features on this phone, such as the VZ Navigator are pretty awesome too. I am very impressed by the quality of the images put out by the 3.0 megapixel camera/camcorder. I do recommend that you buy a decent LCD cover for both inside and outside LCD’s.  They scratch easily. And I warn you to be extra gentle with the cover for the battery charger port.

However, overall, I would recommend this phone for anyone who does a large amount of text-messaging and wants all the extra features to go with it.
