The question of the day for me is Did I really buy these things. If so, I still have not figured out why to this day. The Labtec LCS-150's are junk simply put. But since I have to do an in depth review of some computer hardware I will do so. In my opinion the Labtec LCS-150 has poor fuzzy sound, that can get on my nerves, and prevent often headaches. :) So here I go....
The Looks
At first glance the looks are eye dazzling in my opinion. Perhaps that is the reason why I bought them. They are nice and small, unlike some other speakers I have seen over at some stores. They have a bass booster, which does have decent bass. At first glance I couldn't get enough of these speakers.
Let us Start With some Pros
I already mentioned the first pro, and that is the looks. They are nice, and small, and you can take them just about anywhere. Another pro is the bass booster. I like to have some occasional bass when I am on the internet and listening to some music. The bass would really make these things worth while if the sound were decent.
On a side note, what is a bass booster good for with poor sound? But occasionally when the sound does kick in it turns out to be alright.
Cons
The Sound is really disrupting to me. I had heard from people that Labtec would produce high quality sound, with no fuzz or skips. Well, me and my friends were wrong. Everytime I go on a website, and use something such as Realplayer or Quicktime, I often find myself switching the volume up and down, and adjusting the bass trying to get a clear sound. But that just doesn't happen. You can try whatever you want with these speakers and not get any results.
One thing about the sound is that I will play something once, and it will be terrible, the next time I play it, it is messed up. I just said "Heck with it," after a while, and got rid of them.
Conlusions
In conclusion, there isn't too much you can say about speakers, but I think I said everything possible. But in all, I chucked these things, and went out for something better. High quality sound is very important to me, because I love listening to great classic hard rock. If you like high quality speakers, look somewhere else.
