I love these little bad boys!
Pros
Cheap, small and they sound nice.
Cons
Maybe they're a little too small for for cyber-nuts.
Recommended it?
Yes
Some people may just write these speakers off as junk, but they're just perfect for the computer set-up I have. Living in a semi-cramped apartment, I don't have much need for speakers turned all the way up. (Plus, I don't really use my computer as a juke box, anyway.)
For normal computer stuff (mail notices, incoming message sounds, games), I've had nothing but good experiences with the Labtec LCS-150. After having them for a few months, I was consistently impressed by the sound quality, especially for speakers so small.
The bass boost is a welcome feature, particularly because these speakers generally cost less than $20. (You don't often see extra features on the 'budget-priced' speakers.) And for such a small set of speakers, these little guys can get LOUD. I'm not kidding.
Anyway, if you're looking for a quality pair of small (out-of-the-way, even) speakers, I can heartily recommend these. If you're a big MP3 person, you'd probably wanna go with something bigger and more impressive, though.
(...these go to 11.)
Not all 'inexpensive speakers' are created equally, as these were the third (and final) set of speakers I had to buy within three months.
