The Bottom Line:
Great features for the price. Buy it and you'll love it.
Overview:
I purchased this radio in Winter 2002 to replace the stock radio in my Cadillac. It was purchased from a retailer over ebay for approximately $120 shipped. I researched Lanzar and was willing to take a chance due to the many good reviews that I read.
Installation was a breeze, although it would not have been if I was not fairly knowledgable about electronics. The instructions, although complete, were not well written or organized.
Pros:
The display is colorful and vibrant. Although I rarely use the remote, when I do, it works great and is nice to have around. Cd's and mp3 discs play nicely and rarely skip. Output is crisp and clear. Song titles scrolling on the screen are also nice. I was most worried about the movements of the radio going into stealth mode - turns out it is not a problem as it is well-designed and sturdy. It is an all-around great radio for the price. Buy it and you won't be sorry.
Cons:
The most nagging feature about this stereo is that it doesn't have auto-return for a track. This means that if you're halfway through a song and stop your car, when you start it up again it will start playing the song from the beginning. Instructions are not very well-written.
