The Bottom Line:
Avoid this product and company
In not an audiophile so the unit, given to me as a gift by my kids, is fine for my needs. But 10 months after I got it the faceplate that hides the keyboard (when it's closed) fell off. It was held on with an adhesive strip that dried out. Contacted Brooklyn New York Service Center and got this in reply.
"Please package up the unit securely and enclose a copy of your sales receipt. Please also include a money order payable to Lanzar Service Center in the amount of $15.00 to cover the return shipping charges."
Further requests for information (what are my options since my kids didn't save the receipt) were ignored and calls were not returned. I'm guess I'm just out of luck.
Stay away from this company's products unless you just want to be ignored by the Lanzar (no)Service Center!
If for some reason you still consider buying this unit knowing the inferior manufacturing and lack of customer service:
The front panel is framed around the display. This frame is wide and will block your view of the top half of the 1st line of text if it is mounted low on your cars console. (As mine is in a 92 Honda Accord). Only consider it for an installation where the unit will be higher up, so the entire display can be read.
